The exhibition expresses the link that existed between Liguria and Piedmont in the Middle Ages with the roads or also called “via del Sale” that connected the Alta Langa and the Bormida Valley with the sea. E. Luzzati’s exhibition in Bergolo also marks a profound awareness for an artist who had to forcibly leave the country of his birth because his family was Jewish in a historical period marked by the spread of racism. His scenographies express the desire to come back and love a seaside city like Genoa, where you can smell the scent of the sea from Bergolo.
Emanuele Luzzati’s exhibition will be curated by the set designer Paolo Giovanni Bonfiglio, former student of the “E. Luzzati “and now set designer himself at the Teatro della Tosse in Genoa and winner of two editions of the Bergolo National Art Competition.
