Dettagli Evento

Like every summer, for 65 years now, the traditional Hazelnut Festival takes place in Cortemilia. This event, created to celebrate a princely product of the Langhe, has been enriched with folklore, spectacular and cultural moments that have made it a point of reference for a vast audience, which goes beyond the borders of Piedmont. A show not to be missed, for adults and children, is undoubtedly that expected Saturday night on the banks of the Bormida with fireworks, but we can not forget some highlights including “Perfume of Hazelnut”, the Fair of hazelnut cake Piedmont IGP and the Langa wine, the prestigious Novi Qualità Award and the contest dedicated to hazelnut sweets “Pasticceri allo sbaraglio”. Cortemilia is located at the center of the main production area of Nocciola Piemonte and, precisely for this reason, the “Regina Tonda Gentile delle Langhe” finds its natural home and a very heartfelt passion for its processing and use. Here, as indicated in the Catalog of Traditional Agri-Foodstuffs, it is said that the production of the famous “Hazelnut cake” was established and certainly made known in Italy and abroad by local master confectioners. Obviously they can not miss musical evenings and entertainment, which together with the animation and games dedicated to children and to the stalls of crafts and collectibles, will complete an important event of the Piedmontese summer.
